Tokay Gecko(Ge jie)

This medicinal is the dried body of Gekko gecko Linnaeus (Fam.Gekkonidae)with its internal organs removed and captured all year around.After removal its nternal organs,or blood(being unable to wash with water),its body is kept flat straightened with bamboo pieces(with two pieces forming a pair)and baked to dry with mild fire.When using,remove its head(having little poison),feet and scales.Sometimes its tail is used alone or baked crisp and ground into powder for use.

Medicinal Properties:salt and neutral.

Meridian Tropism:Lung and kidney meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies:Nourish lung and replenish kidney;improve qi reception to relieve dyspnea;supplement yang and replenish essence.

Usage and Dosage: 5~10g.When used in the form of powder,1~2g each time,three times per day.1~2pairs,for wine infusion.
