wàng wén wèn qiē-four diagnostic methods of TCM

Post  Admin on Tue Nov 15, 2011 9:38 pm

wàng wén wèn qiē(望闻问切) are four diagnostic methods in TCM. Each one has different function but the four methods are closely related.

* wàng(望) means watch, it refers to watch the situation of a patient's body

* wén(闻) means listen, it refers to listen to the sound of a patient

* wèn(问) means ask, it refers to ask the symptom of a patient

* qiē(切) means feel, it refers to feel the pulse of a patient

Using these four diagnostic methds, a TCM doctor can know basically how to treat the patient.
