It is the magnetic iron ore magnetite,mainly contains Fe3O4.It is mined at any time and got rid of the impurity of stone.It is used in raw form or quenched with vinegar and ground into powder for medication.

Medicinal Properties:salty and cold.

Meridian Tropism:liver,heart and kidney meridians.

Medicinal Efficacies:Calm mind;pacify liver to subdue yang;improve auditory and visual acuity;improve inspiration and relieve dyspnea.

Usage and Dosage: 9-30g,decoct first;if used in pill or powder form,1~3g each time.The raw are used induce sedation and tranquilization,pacify liver and subdue yang;and the quenched with vinegar are used to improve auditory and visual acuity and improve qi reception to relieve dyspnea.
